    Apartment garden

    Last weekend Leslie and I planted a garden on our balcony.

    yes this is resized with html. I realize that's awful but if you're smart enough to know the difference you're also smart enough to right-click-> view image. blame flickr or tumblr.

    Everything that’s actually sprouted in this picture came that way from a booth at Saturday Market- Two tomato plants, a strawberry thing (bush I guess), Dill, and a highly-experimental pepper bush. Do we get enough sunlight on the balcony for these things? I don’t know. Not pictured: Lettuce, more dill (can’t have too much), parsely, and sweet/low-light tomatoes. If all goes according to plan I’m going to make about a half a jar of salsa, or maybe a salad.

    Anyway it’s a week later and the lettuce is starting to sprout:
