This is the video wall we built for Pulsebeat. It’s kind of an evolution of the previous episode’s set. It’s a simple design but it looks great and it worked amazingly well. It’s just a couple sheets of plexi in a curved frame with some thin plasticy-paper stuff stuck to the front of it and an LCD projector behind it. The projector is actually bouncing off of a large mirror due to the limited space we had behind the screen. You can see the shadow of the projector at the bottom, I think we kept that out of sight pretty consistently though. Though it doesn’t show in my cell phone picture, the color and brightness were excellent. Normally it was projecting from a DVD player with a video loop, but in this shot it was getting its image from an iBook. Later in this scene we have some bullet points that appear on cues- to get the timing right I used the wiimote in the foreground with Darwiin Remote. The bullet points themselves were animated with Keynote.
